The fund was established to assist in expanding both the knowledge of our professional Genealogy Staff and increasing the visibly of the Sons of the American Revolution at various Genealogical Conferences and events.
The fund will generate an interest income to be used each year for the following:
- 75% for Professional Development of the Genealogy Staff members at the discretion of the Executive Director.
- 25% designated for SAR representation at genealogy conferences or similar events, with participation plans being approved by the Genealogy Committee. Each event participation plan will be approved by the Genealogy Committee, after the submission of a written proposal to the Genealogy Committee Chairman; following approval, the Chairman will submit a request for a distribution from the Genealogy Committee Endowment Fund for these events in a timely manner to pay, and/or reimburse for all or a portion of the cost of participation.
