The SAR Budget Committee was formed through specifications within SAR Bylaw, No. 19, Section 1 (b) delineating the SAR’s standing committees, as found in the SAR Handbook. It states:
- (b) Ethics Committee. The Ethics Committee shall have the responsibility and authority to investigate and conduct hearings on the improper acts of a Compatriot as set forth in Bylaw No. 33.
