Membership Committee

The SAR Membership Committee develops programs and strategies to promote new membership in the SAR. The committee also examines ways to improve the recruitment and application process. It also works with other committees to identify and recruit notable potential members. The New Member Manual is a tool to begin assimilating newly approved members into the SAR to help increase membership retention. The intent of this manual is to begin the mentoring process with important basic information many long-term members assume, but is unfamiliar to new members. The manual was compiled based upon feedback from new members interviewed on the day of their induction as well as interviews of prospective members attending a Chapter meeting who had no idea what was being reported in SAR language about activities and events—in other words, this manual contains the information new members say they need to know to participate in SAR!  Please add your Chapter Officers with contact information on the last page as you print and distribute this manual to new members.
